This is an index of the music graphics used on my Web site.
How many did you recognize?
This graphic is from the cover of the Steve Miller Band album Book of Dreams. The album was released in spring 1977 as the follow-up to 1976's Fly Like An Eagle and went multi-platinum. The album included the top ten song "Jet Airliner" as well as the top 40 hits "Jungle Love" and "Swingtown".
This photo is from the cover of the Elton John album Don't Shoot Me I'm Only The Piano Player. The album was released in early 1973 and rocketed to the #1 spot in the U.S. album charts on the strength of the hit singles "Crocodile Rock" which went to #1 and "Daniel" which went to #2.
This graphic is from the cover of the Pink Floyd album The Dark Side Of The Moon. The album was released in the winter of 1973 and became the longest charting album in history... staying on the charts for more than 740 weeks! The track "Money" was the only top 40 single from the album.
This one is from the cover of the Eagles album Eagles/Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975. The album was released in the winter of 1976 and was recently certified as the best selling album in history. Hits included are "Take It Easy," "Witchy Woman," "Best Of My Love" and "One Of These Nights" among others.
This graphic is from the cover of the Paul McCartney album Venus And Mars. The album was released in spring 1975 as the follow-up to Band On The Run. The album went to #1 and earned platinum status almost immediately with the single "Listen To What The Man Said" also reaching the #1 spot.
This design is from the cover of the Queen album A Night At The Opera. The album was released in late 1975 and became Queen's first Top 10 album in the U.S. Singles include "Bohemian Rhapsody" which went top 10 and "You're My Best Friend" and "Somebody To Love" which both went top 40.
This drawing is from the cover of the Beatles album Yellow Submarine. The album was released in early 1969 and peaked only at #2, breaking the Beatles streak (in the U.S.) of 9 straight #1 albums. This soundtrack to the animated feature contained Beatles songs on Side 1, while Side 2 contained instrumentals by George Martin.
This one is from the cover of the Jethro Tull album The Broadsword And The Beast. The album was released in spring 1982 and was not one of Jethro Tull's bigger hits, peaking at #19 on the charts. I wouldn't expect anyone but a Jethro Tull fan to recognize this one, but the graphic sure is cool!
This is the cover of the Jackson Browne album Late For The Sky. I used it on my "hobbies" page as the link to the list of my favorite albums because it ranks as one of my very favorite albums. The album was released in September 1974 and was RIAA Certified Gold on 12/24/74 and Platinum on 5/16/89.
This is part of the cover of the Crosby Stills & Nash album Crosby Stills & Nash. I used it as the link to the Henry Diltz Web site, "Henry's Gallery", because Henry took the cover photo for this album and the album is another of my all-time favorites. It was released in 1969.
